The first chapter provides a review of fluids, their properties, flow regimes, and singular and regular head losses.
The second chapter offers a general overview of the different types of pumps and compressors, hydraulic motors, and their operating principles, including some technical formulations.
The third chapter outlines the various types of pneumatic cylinders, providing examples of their application areas. It includes demonstrations for calculating and sizing cylinders, as well as determining the forces acting on the cylinder rod. The chapter concludes with the development of a control circuit diagram for operating pneumatic cylinders using valves, controls, and accessories.
The fourth chapter defines hydraulic piping systems, types of piping, and devices for regulating, limiting, and reducing flow and pressure.
