The goal is to detail the functioning of a network and the principles on which it is based. This course focuses on network models, architecture, and the fundamental protocols of the TCP/IP world. Special emphasis will be placed on end-to-end control mechanisms, classless addressing, and hierarchical routing currently in use. Finally, the two main supporting architectures (Point-to-Point) will be studied before concluding with an overview of network architectures.
